Tumen River Vocational School is currently in its fifth year of operation. We were established in 2002 by only a few South Korean visionaries, and we continue to exist through the generous support of individuals and groups around the world. Whether you are interested in sharing time, professional experience, books, funds, or simply a word of advice with us, we thank you for visiting this page and working with us to serve the Korean Chinese youth of the Tumen River area.
Volunteer
We are continually in need of teachers and staff who are willing to dedicate a semester or more to work at TRVS on a volunteer basis. Please check the link on the left regularly, as staff openings will be updated as they become available.We also welcome those whose time is limited to a few weeks and those who would like to volunteer at the school with a team.

Employment & Further Study
One of the greatest ways that we can help our students is to connect them to opportunities for employment and/or further study after graduation. Our continual goal is to make sure each student is set on the post-graduate path that best matches their own interests, potential, and skills. As such, we are always looking to connect with organizations and individuals to help our graduates with their next step after TRVS. We gladly welcome all kinds of in-kind donations. Some examples of gifts we have received in the past are computers, textbooks, English language-learning aids, medicine, clothing, eyeglasses, dictionaries, and athletic equipment. Indeed, there would be a good use to almost any item imaginable, as our students and teachers often times never realize how useful a gift can be until it arrives (last winter, an Australian group purchased five guitars for the school, and an afterschool guitar club has been thriving ever since).Donate
We owe our growth over the past five years to the innumerable folks who have believed in our mission and have so generously shared their resources so that our everyday operations can live up to that bold vision. With our move last year from the Tumen City Technical Skills Bureau (where we had occupied only five classrooms and two offices) to our own building, we have incurred a tremendous number of additional expenses, but have also been moved by the steady growth in help from abroad.
